National Council of La RazaThe National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the nation's oldest and largest Hispanic civil rights organization, approached Rapoza Associates in 1999 for assistance in diversifying its federal funding sources and obtaining funding to provide technical assistance to local affiliates involved in education issues. We developed and implemented a plan that included identifying key programs and opportunities, mobilizing support within the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and making strategic interventions in the Congressional funding process. Fast-forward :The result has been a marked increase in support for NCLR's programs among key members of Congress. Since 1999, the firm has succeeded in developing a continuing stream of federal funding to support the NCLR's community development subsidiary – Raza Development Fund (RDF). In addition, Rapoza Associates has successfully sought additional federal funding to support NCLR's important work in education, labor and health.
